Youth Opportunity Centers
Identity operates two Youth Opportunity Centers located in Takoma Park and in Gaithersburg. Both centers offer a safe, supportive environment where young people are given the tools, skills, and support needed to resist or end gang involvement and live productive lives.
Our work with at-risk youth particularly at both Centers has led to Identity’s recognition in the U.S. and internationally of our effective approach to gang prevention.
Services provided at the Youth Opportunity Centers include:
- GED classes
- Workforce Development Training
- Mental health counseling
- Case management services
- Social skills building sessions
- Tattoo removal
- Supervised recreational and social activities
