Partnerships

With the collaboration of Montgomery County Public Schools, each year Identity delivers an after school program that focuses on behavior modification and skills building in about a dozen schools located in heavily Latino-populated areas. Each school provides Identity with free space to hold after school and evening sessions for youth and their parents.

At the Northwood High School Wellness Center, Identity partners with Pride Youth Services to provide youth development services to the school’s African-American students and with the Family Support Center for mental health counseling services. The Montgomery County Mental Health Association provides mental health counselor-interns to service several of our school-based programs and at the Crossroads Youth Opportunity Center.

Identity participates in both the up-County and the down-County Latino Networks of service providers and the Gaithersburg City Providers Network.  We also work with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services’ Street Outreach Network to help mediate conflicts between gang involved youth.

As part of Montgomery County’s Latino Youth Task Force, Identity partners with other youth service organizations and community leaders to make policy changes and increase services to improve the well being of County Latino youth. In addition, we collaborate with Casa de Maryland on advocacy efforts related to immigration and education.
