The Area Outreach Specialist will act as a vital link between the community and Identity, serving as a liaison to ensure open communication and collaboration. This role is a part -time and involves providing regular updates on community needs, challenges, and events while offering service recommendations tailored to those needs.
Working closely with the Community Engagement Case Manager Coordinator, the Specialist will participate and develop and propose outreach strategies, activities, and programs aimed at engaging and recruiting marginalized and underserved youth and their families. These youth may be at risk of gang involvement, substance abuse, incarceration, teen pregnancy, or dropping out of school.
In addition, the Specialist will actively promote Youth Opportunity Center programming within the community, fostering awareness and participation.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour

Community Engagement Case Manager- Full Time

The Community Engagement Case Manager provides guidance, feedback, and support to youth serving as role model, advocate, and ally throughout their enrollment in the Youth Opportunity Centers and its services. Community Outreach Specialist- Full Time
Identity is seeking dynamic, innovative, confident, detail oriented, outgoing, collaborative community outreach specialists for its new Substance Misuse Prevention & Education Peer Ambassador Program (SUP Ambassador Program). The community outreach specialist will be working in a team with a program manager, two other community outreach specialists, and overseeing four high school youth peer ambassadors to conduct substance misuse prevention education and referrals to SUD/OUD treatment in one of the following areas: 1)Aspen Hill/Glenmont/Wheaton/Silver Spring; 2) Briggs Chaney/Silver Spring; or 3) Gaithersburg/Germantown, and Montgomery Village in Montgomery County, MD. Parent Outreach Worker- Part Time
Identity has an opportunity as a part-time (15 to 25 hours a week) Parent Outreach Worker at Northwood High School-Based Health & Wellness Center in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Wellness Center provides a broad array of programs and services focused on supporting the physical, social, emotional, and mental well-being of the students at the school. The Center offers the students a continuum of engagement opportunities and supports that they can access throughout their high-school years, including trauma-informed, culturally responsive, curriculum-based programs, mental health counseling, on-site health care and screenings, and case management services. Although the Wellness Center serves all students enrolled in the school, it specifically targets those who present low protective factors (family separation, low self-esteem, school disconnection) that may lead to negative behaviors.
Services provided by the Parent Outreach Worker include, completing a needs and concerns assessments for Parents and Families, Family Action Plans, assisting Youth Development Specialist in providing support and expertise to families of youth through service planning, referrals, follow-up and support. Assists in planning and implementing parent meetings.
