Identity Job Fair Offers Pathways to Employment

Job seekers and employers gathered at Identity on June 5 for our third annual Summer Job Fair – and four clients came out with job offers! Focused on building professional connections, the event brought together 67 job seekers and 9 company representatives for a day of networking, career exploration, and real time coaching from Identity’s Workforce Development staff.
Attendees had the chance to meet employers across several industries. Marriott Hospitality shared opportunities in housekeeping, culinary services, and front desk positions. In the growing healthcare field, Visiting Angels and Premium Care USA highlighted openings for caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Montgomery County Recreation also joined us, recruiting for roles such as cashiers and lifeguards. Employers conducted on-site interviews in dedicated spaces, creating immediate opportunities for job seekers.
Throughout the event, Identity’s Workforce team was on hand to provide one-on-one support. From creating new resumes to taking fresh professional photos, staff helped participants optimize their application materials and prepare, apply, and interview for jobs with confidence.
Adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, former Identity team member Gilma Magaña brought in her Antojitos Papa Yoyo food truck and provided delicious tacos, tamales, and pupusas to all.
Events like this highlight the power of face-to-face connections with employers, and the importance of breaking barriers to employment. Long after the job fair, our Workforce Development team will continue to support job-seekers on their career journeys from stability to mobility.
