Identity’s 2025 Job Fair went beyond all expectations— drawing 161 jobseekers, many of them new to Identity, and others for whom it was their first job fair experience. Six employers from industries such as elder care, childhood development, car dealerships, and trades took the time to speak individually to the jobseekers, whether in English or Spanish.

This year’s Job Fair was held at the new Identity Headquarters. Attendees were warmly welcomed by Identity’s workforce development specialists and then guided to a lively conference room where employers showcased available positions. Staff provided translation when needed and on-the-spot resume assistance to ensure every participant could put their best foot forward.

Refreshments and delicious desserts were prepared by a graduate of Identity’s Entrepreneurship program, “Homemade by Leins.”
The early results of the Fair are very exciting. Beside the record crowd including older youth and adults learning about job opportunities in a supportive and engaging environment, some attendees were interviewed immediately by employers that evening in offices set aside for one-on-one interviews, others were invited to formal interviews at the employers’ businesses, and one person got an immediate job offer.
The event left many feeling encouraged. As one client said, “I am very optimistic and believe there will be a good outcome with a job soon.” Identity’s workforce development team will continue to follow up with coaching to ensure their clients’ smooth transition into securing a job. The Job Fair was funded in part by WorkSource Montgomery.
